Across the UK around sixty local branches of the club get together to co-ordinate local shows and run-outs, run technical or video nights, and just chew the cud with like-minded people in a convivial environment. Most branches meet once a month, usually at a pub or social club's function room or similar, and have an elected branch committee. Others prefer a more informal structure and are just a bunch of people meeting up for lunch.

We know that branch nights can be an acquired taste, and so all branches operate a 'try before you buy' system and are happy to have people drop in a few times to see if it's for them. Not all our members join a branch but many who do find their meetings to be an essential part of their social life. It's not compulsory to be a member of a local branch to be a member of the MMOC itself, or vice versa.
